Overview
Astro is a framework for content-driven websites such as blogs, documentation, and marketing sites. Projects can start from a template and add integrations for React, Preact, Svelte, Vue, and other UI systems alongside deployment-specific adapters.
Based on official documentation; not hands-on tested · Content checked:
Manage the site and official integrations in one monorepo
Alongside astro and create-astro, the repository contains integrations for several UI frameworks, adapters for Node, Vercel, Cloudflare, and Netlify, plus MDX, RSS, sitemap, type checking, and language tooling. Browser-based starter projects provide a quick entry point.

For content-first sites with selective interactivity
It is a candidate when content is central and the whole site should not be forced into one client-side UI framework. Existing React or Vue skills can be applied to selected components while the overall site follows Astro conventions.

Review integration and deployment-adapter boundaries
Adding a UI integration does not make every framework feature or browser payload identical. Static output versus server execution and the selected hosting platform determine the required adapter and constraints. The README is an entry point, so pair it with release-specific documentation and package changelogs.
