Overview
CoMaps is a community-led map and navigation app based on OpenStreetMap. Users can download maps and use search, walking/cycling/driving navigation, outdoor details, bookmarks, and track recording without a network connection. It is a fork of Organic Maps built around privacy, transparency, and not-for-profit values.
Features and best fit
Based on official documentation; not hands-on tested · Content checked:

Plan map updates/storage and distinguish the canonical Codeberg repo from the GitHub mirror
Offline maps consume device storage and need periodic updates; OpenStreetMap detail varies by area. Codeberg is the canonical development repository and GitHub is an official mirror. OSS Tanbou's GitHub star/issue metrics therefore represent the mirror, not all Codeberg activity. CoMaps is Apache-2.0.

Supplemental curator note
CoMaps is a community fork of Organic Maps. Codeberg is the canonical repository; OSS Tanbou registers the official GitHub mirror because the current metrics pipeline is GitHub-based, so GitHub stars/issues do not represent all Codeberg activity.
