Overview
Fiber is a Go web framework built on fasthttp. It uses an Express-inspired API for routing, middleware, request binding, and response handling while emphasizing high-throughput HTTP services.

Key features
Build HTTP services with Express-inspired routing and middleware APIs
Routes, groups, parameters, and middleware chains are composed through the framework API for REST APIs and web backends.

Keep binding and proxy-security behavior inside the framework layer
Fiber v3 includes request binding and a broad middleware set. Version 3.5.0 adds custom binding precedence, a proxy SecurityPolicy, and an optional fast path for unmatched routes.

Best fit
Fits Go APIs that prioritize an Express-like developer model and fasthttp throughput
It is particularly approachable for teams coming from Node/Express or choosing the fasthttp-based routing and middleware ecosystem for Go services.

Before adoption
v3.5.0 requires Go 1.25+; verify the boundary with the net/http ecosystem
The v3.5.0 go.mod declares Go 1.25 and depends on fasthttp 1.73.0. Do not assume handlers and middleware written specifically for standard net/http are drop-in compatible; validate adapters, context lifetimes, and buffer reuse in the real application.

Supplemental curator note
Fiber emphasizes an Express-like development model and performance on top of fasthttp. Because it does not use the standard net/http stack as its core abstraction, verify compatibility when adopting middleware or handlers designed specifically for net/http.
