Overview

Hoppscotch is an API development ecosystem spanning REST, GraphQL, WebSocket, SSE, Socket.IO, and MQTT with Web/PWA, desktop, CLI, and self-hosted workflows. The 2026.8.0 release unified REST and GraphQL workspaces, added data-driven collection runs, and introduced an MCP server. The latest GitHub release, 2026.8.1, is explicitly an Enterprise-only patch.

Extend a Vue client with a NestJS/Prisma/PostgreSQL backend for on-prem workflows

The monorepo uses a Vue 3 frontend while the backend package uses NestJS, Apollo GraphQL, Prisma, and PostgreSQL. Web/PWA, desktop, CLI, and self-hosting options coexist; 2026.8.0 also added dataset-driven collection runs and an MCP server.

The root package and README state MIT, while the current packages/hoppscotch-backend/package.json is marked UNLICENSED, and features such as SSO are identified as Enterprise functionality.
