Supplemental curator note
We selected Karakeep as a self-hosted research archive that layers crawling, search, OCR, AI organization, and retention on top of read-later capture. Because the crawler can reach arbitrary URLs from the operator network, deployments with untrusted users need network-level SSRF controls rather than relying on application checks alone.
