Spinifex is an AWS-compatible infrastructure platform designed to move AWS-oriented workloads onto bare metal, on-premises systems, and edge sites without rewriting the application stack. Spinifex does not imply complete AWS parity; compatibility expands release by release. Version 1.20.0 includes many Terraform-facing fixes across EC2, EKS, ECR, ECS, IAM, load balancing, and networking. Production adoption requires testing the exact modules and owning KVM/QEMU, OVN/OVS, storage, routing, certificates, backups, and HA.
