Overview
Papermark is a DocSend alternative for sharing documents through custom links, tracking viewers, applying custom branding and domains, and organizing secure data rooms. It is built primarily with Next.js, Prisma, and PostgreSQL and supports self-hosting.

Version 0.22.0 expects Node.js 18.18+, PostgreSQL, blob or S3 storage, Resend, and optional services such as Tinybird.

Supplemental curator note
The requested mfts/papermark repository now resolves to papermark/papermark. Core code is AGPLv3, while ee/ and app/(ee) use a Commercial License. Self-hosters should check the paths and features they use rather than assuming the entire repository has one open-source license.

Clone Papermark v0.22.0
Check out the release tag from the repository after its owner migration.
git clone --depth 1 --branch v0.22.0 https://github.com/papermark/papermark.git && cd papermark - 2
Install dependencies and create environment config
Use Node.js 18.18+ and configure PostgreSQL, storage, email, and other required services.
npm install && cp .env.example .env - 3
Initialize the database and start development mode
Apply the Prisma schema and open Papermark at http://localhost:3000.
npm run dev:prisma && npm run dev
