Overview
pnpm is a package manager for the Node.js ecosystem. It stores dependency files in a content-addressable store and links them into project node_modules, reducing duplicate files across projects while providing workspaces, lockfiles, and stricter dependency access.

Supplemental curator note
The shared store becomes especially useful across many projects and monorepos, while stricter dependency access can expose code that relied on accidental hoisting. Repository-wide reuse should also account for the pnpr license exception.
