Choose pagination strategies to match the collection and workload
Version 43 provides offset, countish, countless, keyset, keynav, search, calendar, and other paginator options behind a simplified pagy method.
Best fit
Fits Ruby applications that need different pagination techniques across workloads

Before adoption
Treat version 43 as a redesign rather than a routine upgrade
The README describes v43 as a complete redesign of legacy code, usage, and APIs. Existing applications should follow the migration and upgrade guides and review paginator and helper calls.

Supplemental curator note
Pagy fits Ruby applications that want pagination without tightly coupling to one collection type or front-end framework. Version 43 is a broad API redesign, so upgrades from older Pagy generations should follow the migration and upgrade guides rather than being treated as a routine version bump.
Try it in 3 steps
- 1
Add Pagy 43.7.0 to an evaluation Ruby project
Use Ruby 3.3 or newer and pin Pagy under Bundler.
mkdir pagy-demo && cd pagy-demo && bundle init && bundle add pagy --version 43.7.0 - 2
Verify the Pagy CLI version
Confirm that the 43.7.0 CLI starts correctly.
bundle exec pagy --version - 3
Clone the bundled demo and inspect it
Copy Pagy's bundled Rack demo locally and validate Ruby syntax without starting a server. In a real application, follow the Quick Start to include Pagy::Method and the required paginator/helper.
bundle exec pagy clone demo && ruby -c demo.ru
