OSS Tanbou

manage, search, and share files in a self-hostable web drive

About these scores

OSS scale score is an unbounded metric that log-compresses and weights Stars, Watchers, Forks, and Contributors. Discovery score is the current OSS scale score minus the score at discovery. Update pace is commits in the last 30 days, growth momentum is the OSS scale score difference within the recent observation window, and OSS health is a 0–100 rating based on available recency, Community Health, and release data.

Overview

Twake Drive is an open-source web drive for browsing file trees, uploading files and folders, searching, and sharing by URL. It runs as part of the Twake/Cozy platform stack.

Features and best fit

Based on official documentation; not hands-on tested · Content checked:

Key features

Organize files in a folder tree

Browse folders, upload files and directories, and search stored content through the Drive interface.

Sources: [2]

Share by URL and across Twake environments

The application supports share links and uses Cozy Stack sharing for workflows between compatible instances.

Sources: [2]

Best fit

Fits organizations running file collaboration on the Twake/Cozy stack

It is relevant when file storage, search, and sharing should be operated under organizational control and integrated with the surrounding Twake/Cozy application environment.

Sources: [2]

Before adoption

It is a web app that depends on Cozy Stack rather than a standalone file server

The documented development flow builds the web application and serves it through cozy-stack. Deploying Twake Drive therefore also requires the supporting platform environment.

Separate stable and beta releases

As of September 2026, 1.107.0 is the stable release while 1.107.1-beta.2 is newer but marked prerelease. Production upgrades should follow stable tags unless the beta is being evaluated intentionally.

Review AGPL-3.0 terms for network deployment

Twake Drive is distributed under AGPL-3.0. Review the license conditions when modifying or operating the software over a network.

Supplemental curator note

Twake Drive positions itself as an open-source Google Drive alternative, but this repository is the web application rather than a standalone storage backend. Running and developing it also depends on the Twake/Cozy Stack environment.
