Overview

Main specifies Ruby 4.0.7 and pulls Rails from its GitHub main branch; Gemfile.lock currently resolves to Rails 8.2.0.alpha. Compare this with tagged releases before production adoption.

Supplemental curator note
Pagecord's latest tag is v1.0.0 from 2024, while main remains active in 2026 and currently tracks Ruby 4.0.7 plus Rails main, presently in the 8.2 alpha line. The custom Pagecord Licence v2.1 permits personal or internal self-hosting, modification, and redistribution, but prohibits offering the software or a substantial part of it as a hosted or managed service to third parties. It is not a standard open-source license.

Start the Docker development stack
Run PostgreSQL, Redis, Memcached, Rails, and the Tailwind watcher together.
docker compose up --build - 3
Open the seeded blog
Inspect the seeded blog. Development login links are available from the /letter_opener mail catcher.
