Overview
Spliit is an open-source application for tracking group expenses, balances, and reimbursements with friends and family. It uses Next.js, Prisma, and PostgreSQL and supports both the hosted service and self-hosting.

Spliit is a Splitwise alternative for sharing group expenses and balances. It uses Next.js, Prisma, and PostgreSQL and can be self-hosted with Docker Compose. Optional receipt-scanning and document features require additional S3 and OpenAI configuration.

Clone Spliit 1.28.0
Check out the pinned release tag.

Prepare PostgreSQL and environment variables
Start the local database and create the development environment file.
./scripts/start-local-db.sh cp .env.example .env - 3
Install dependencies and start development mode
Install dependencies, apply Prisma setup, and start the Next.js development server.
npm install && npm run dev
